As you may be aware, Seaworthy Goods has discontinued their round port light visors due to lack of interest.

I have contacted them and they would be willing to do another run of round visors if there was an order of at least 100 units/size.

They offered to provide a discount of 20% off retail, but I am asking for more than that.

I myself would probably take 6 of each size.

    Anyone else out there interested?

    Thanks,

    Stephen Wylie

Already have 6" PortVisors on Siempre Sabado.  Now, if you could talk them in to making some 4" round ones, I'd go for four.

I haven't had any luck posting photos to the forum in spite of following the directions meticulously.  But, if you go to the PortVisor website, we're photos 11 and 12 on page 1 of their "flotilla" page.  As to are we happy with them, we love them so far.  Had our first really significant rain in La Paz about a week ago.  Came down hard for a few hours.  We were able to leave our 6" ports wide open and not a drop got in the cabin.  They are pretty unobtrusive as far as how they stick out on the side decks. IOW, we hardly ever notice they're there.  They've never snagged a line or anything.  Like I've said before, if I could get some for my 4" ports, I'd have them on all my opening ports.

I see that back in 2004 Bud tried a bulk buy on these visors. Are there any members out there that can post pics or provide feedback on the finished product?

Those that are interested for this go round, can you provide quantities and sizes required so I can start spreadsheeting this?

Seaworthy has quoted  $19.95 for the 9-ROs and $21.50 for the 11-ROs with a purchase of 100 of each size. I want 6 of the bigguns and 4-6 of the smaller ones.

The only thing that might queer the deal is shipping to multiple address and multiple payments which will increase their labour costs. They should keep the price down if I can do as much admin as possible on this end (order, shipping and payment details) which I can then send to them in one shot, or they can contact you for payment details afterwards - but it should be one or the other for simplicities sake.

If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears.

    Thanks,

    Stephen Wylie

    Stephen,

I have two 9-RO portlight visors left over from the group buy.  Contact me if you want them.
