Mike Johnson is a long time sailor who was featured in Latitude 38 October 2011 edition.  He and his crew spent many years cruising on s/v Aissa W32. His current boat s/v Gitana a schooner with a Lapworth-designed hull that was built in 1979 by Bud Taplin & Worldcruiser Yacht Company.

Mike is pictured pointing to the spot where s/v Aissa survived a 360 deg roll and dismasting while rounding Cape Horn.  Bud Taplin has provided a document written by Mike about the rollover.
