Before I sail off in 18 months, I gotta get one of these for my WS28!

I will mount it mid ships in-between the stays so I can help pull my self up.

At near $1,000 with 3 teak steps and mounts, I may have a welder buddy try to copy it.  If not gonna bite the bullet and get one before I set off in the the sunset.

I bought one a couple years ago, I got 2 sets of the genoa track mounts so I can move from side to side as needed.  It's well worth the money in IMHO...

$1,000 sounds really high.   I would try first to find a used one.  Places like Marine Liquidators in Fort Pierce, FL, The Sailor's Exchange in Saint Augustine, and others are like marine junkyards. They sell parts mostly salvaged from hurricane damaged boats.

The one in Fort Pierce had a big bin full of boarding ladders of all types.  If you don't live nearby, I think you could still shop with them by phone. Tell them what you want and ask them to send pictures of what they have.  Look at   http://www.themarineconnection.net/
