All my Coast Guard Auxiliary contacts are long gone. That's what happens when you get old !

So, are there any Westsailors who are members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary? I'm looking for some honest information about becoming a member. What's involved? What to expect? Costs? Requirements? Commitments? If you are a member, or have been, you probably remember all the questions you had when you joined.

And yes, I know the CGAux website has lots of information, but I'd appreciate a bottoms-up perspective.
