Jesse or Nathan, do either of you know who is now managing that small marina behind the to the condos on Warren St? (I learned it is no longer Liberty Landing.)

Any thoughts on Liberty Landing, or Liberty Harbor, one year later?

I ended up spending last summer and winter in the water there (k dock I think it was). Can't complain too much. I felt the boat was safe and no aspect of it was too annoying.

I was impressed with thier response one early Sunday morning this past winter when I called to tell them a neighbor's boat was sinking. They had three guys and a pump on it by 7:30am and had it refloated, towed and hauled by 10.

The rates are high and the marina is very corporate, but it is what it is. I was at relative peace with my yard bill when I hauled this spring as it could have been worse.

Morris Canal is not the nicest place on earth but it is relatively convenient to NYC and well protected.

I believe the Warren St. marina is managed by someone out of the adjacent condos. A guy I know from LH went there for a year after Sandy and then came back to LH. I didn't ask him about his experience. Just my impression, but the Warren St. marina always seems crowded and a bit unfriendly to me.

I keep on wanting to move my boat to LL, but LH is more convenient for me as I live walking distance. LH doesn't allow liveaboards, if that matters to you. Out of principle I dislike marinas that are anti-freedom which is how I see that issue... even though I live in an apartment at the moment.

There are some friendly, nice sailors at LH, and most don't have much positive to say for LH management if that tells you anything.

NYC marinas are all about trade-offs, kinda like NYC housing.

Thanks, both of you, for the replies and your thoughts. Living aboard there again (while not in my immediate future) is at the root of my curiosity, so it's good to know that's not allowed at LH.
