As this year's sponsors, Nancy and I would like to thank everyone that participated in the 2022 SoCal rendezvous in Newport Beach, CA.

Every year is a little different and this year was no exception. Colleen and her crew sailed "Inala" down from Long Beach, while "Witts End" and "Questia" made the easy voyage across Newport Harbor for the weekend.

Always great to spend some time with Bud on your boat - tips, advice, and expert insights you can't get anywhere else. Thanks Bud for being available all three days. This year we were lucky enough to have three Kendal / Westsail boat builders show up and tour the boats. Some of those guys hadn't been aboard a Westsail in more than 40 years, pretty neat to see them flashback and reminisce about the old days in the yard building these great boats.

This year we had Chris and Tom travel by car from the Ventura area Friday night. As usual, Saturday was spent connecting with old friends, making new friends, touring each others boats, and talking everything Westsail. Sunday was a lazy morning of coffee and donuts - casting off and heading home.  A good time was had by all.

We hope all other Westsail owners will make some time to rendezvous wherever you happen to Westsail the World.

Until next time, fair winds and great sailing.

    Don and Nancy

    Don:

Sounds like you had a good time - are there any photos to share so I can include on the WOA site?

    Jay:

Sorry I didn’t get any pictures but I think Colleen Crystal and Kirk Brown might have some.
