Cruising WS 32 Florida to Bahamas and on to Caribbean

Interested if there are any WS 32 owners who took their boat down to Grenada from Florida. My research has shown two widely used routes: the so-called ‘Thornless Path” recommended by Van Sant; and the I-65 route off shore to St. Thomas.

Both involve windward beating, and given the characteristics of the WS 32 (strengths and weaknesses), I’d be interested in any experiences anyone had with either routes. Of course opinions always welcome

    Thanks,

    Danny

    Hi Danny,

I took my Westsail 32 from Florida to Antigua, following the route recommended by Van Sant. We came down a couple of years ago. I keep the boat in Antigua now. Email me at paul@polarconsultants.com if you want more info.

    Cheers, Paul
