I purchased Amable, 1973 Westsail 32 hull #91, from Duke and Denise MacGill in February 2020. It was berthed in Stockton CA and generally untouched for several years due to health issues. Though they were sad to sell, as they had worked on it for some time making many improvements including the simultaneous 2012 Dave King aft hull modification with Tortuga, Second Wind, and Pelican, they were pleased to see her taken on with enthusiasm. We are her 6th owners, having been first based in NY, then NC, FL, Caribbean, Mexico, HI, and CA. She has generally been a work in progress for the last 15 years, hence in part the reason for the name change to Resolve from Amable (Spanish for friendly). Bud graciously came up to survey in January, and with Jay Bietz’s help she was relocated last week to Owl Harbor Marina in the Sacramento Delta. His and Randy Leasure’s encouragement and advice have been invaluable. I am really glad to see such an active members group, and my wife, Courtney, and I look forward to getting to know you.
