On my WS28 I have a newer Beta 20hp from a previous owner.
In the engine room they installed a vented loop, as they should have, but it makes getting to the batteries a pain in the ass, and with all the hoses, bends, and extra parts, I want something simpler, but safe.
So I am thinking if I raise the exhaust outlet a foot or two higher I can do away with the vented loop and KISS.
The engine already has a lift muffler, just gotta buy a new sea cock and remove a bunch of hose.
I know at an EXTREME heel the sea cock may still go under the water. But with the correct location I should be able to avoid this, and worst case scenario, close the exhaust sea cock.
Will this work? Or am I setting my self up for failure?
