H.D. Armstrong is in the yard here in Indiantown with me and ran into problems while bleeding his injector feed lines. Rather than just bleeding at the end of the return lines, he completely loosened the lines going into the injectors in order to bleed them. Unfortunately, when reattaching them, he inadvertently cross-threaded the fittings on both injectors and now cannot stop them from leaking.
I'm trying to help him resolve this dilemma, as (like most of us) this expense is NOT in his budget.
Looking at the parts list at
VolvoPentaStore.com, it appears that the male fitting attached to the injector can NOT be replaced, without purchasing the entire injector (at $900 each).
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this same problem and found a work-around. Alternately, has anyone replaced their MD2B and has access to the injectors at a somewhat more reasonable cost. He would also be interested in replacing the feed lines, if possible.
Any help would be appreciated.
