Porthole screw size

I pulled all 10 portholes while my deck/cabintop was being painted.

Does anyone know the precise size of the bronze (roundhead) screws used to fasten the bezels to the portholes (thru the cabin sides)?

I have the original screws and plan to reuse them if possible but I'm likely going to need to replace a few.  Problem is, I have no way of determining the actual size.

Also, anyone have a good source for bronze screws at a reasonable price?

Lots of places sell bronze hardware..  Problem is getting a good price and not having to buy a huge quantity.  I've used these folks with good results  http://www.greenboatstuff.com/fasteners.html

Jamestown Distributers is another good source, as is McMaster-Carr.  I believe the length on the W32 was 1/4-20 X 1.25" (Pan head screw),  but would recommend that you verify what your boat needs.  There are variations out there.

    Good luck.  Mike

    The 1/4 X 20 is what I was looking for.  I can easily use a known 1/4 X 20 nut to verify.

Thanks for the sources for bronze hardware.  I hope I can reuse all, or at least most as it looks to be about a buck fiddy apiece for the screw, nut & washer (and I'd need 80 of them puppies)
