That would be nice, Terry. I wonder how long a set of batteries would last, considering the a minimum visibility requirement of 1nm. I do have 2 or 3 LED alternatives for anchor lights
I just ordered some LED nav lights off of eBay. I don't know if they'll be any good or not, but I thought I'd try to modify my existing Gioit lights (pictured above) to use them. Since I'm in the process of rewiring the whole boat, I'm not concerned about having to run down and repair the wiring and/or track shorts.
My fresnel lenses are colored glass and it seems impossible to find a replacement for the broken one. But since the lights I ordered are red/green, I should be able to fabricate a clear lens easily enough. The lights are kind of funky looking, though quite interesting when mounted on the light boards. We'll see how they turn out.
