V birth hatch questions, gasket material?

    I am replacing the glass on the hatch over the v birth. I've ordered 1/2" uv resistant Lexan but have no clue as to what to use to seal it to the wood frame? The original stuff is black and very tacky in places.,

    What gasket is need on the hatch base? My grove appears to be full of epoxy.

    Solved I think. Going to use butyl tape.
