Veneers

    My boat has a number of veneer issues. Places where the veneer has cracked or delaminated and pulled off near cabinet doors and drawers, and discolored near the sole. What is the best way to deal with this?

    What if you did not keep any of the pieces and do not have any veneer you have saved from other areas? Has anyone had experience with using pressure sensitive teak veneer?

    You could buy some veneer and glue it over ...

    FYI---you can also buy timber----mahogany, teak, cedar or take your pick of other woods------and have it made into veneers relatively cheaply.  Then you can reface an entire panel.  You can also get the veneers made into different thicknesses if need be.  Buying a chunk of wood and having it resawn and then planed can be done by any good woodshop.

    I used west system 207 clear on my thin 10mm ribbon stripe for experimentation 
    and found it quite easy. Much help available on web and West System Technical
    helpline. I'd post a pic if I was a computer science engineer but im not, therefor no pic for 
    you.....
