I used a product called TREX to build a dingy cradel that sits on my cabin top.  The material worked easily with regular woodworking tools and glued up nicely with West System epoxy.  The project was sort of a test to see if I liked the look of the stuff after a few years of weathering because sooner or later I'm going to have to replace the toe rails.  We're about a year into it and it still looks ok, its just that compared to the other nicely varnished teak on the deck it just still looks like plastic.
