Has anyone tried a Shade Tree brand cover for their 32?  I'm thinking of going that route and thought I'd check before plunking down six or seven hundred bucks.  If you have one, let me know if you're satisfied with it or not, and if not, why not.

    Thanks!!!

We had a dock mate with these covers on a Morgan OI in Kemah, TX.  The cover did an excellent job of providing shade, and it was easy to move under it.  If you were at anchor, so that it was always bow to the wind, it is ideal.
But -- at a dock, wind on the beam, it is a magnificent sail.  Our neighbor had more than one of the battens break in the second (or later) summer(s) when hit by summer thunder showers or sudden squalls.  And even in an average breeze, on their starboard beam, it was very noisy.
This was about 10 years ago, and the product may have improved to solve this problem.
    And as always, ymmv!

That seems to be the consensus of Shade Tree owners I've talked to as well... they're fine when the wind is calm but problematic when the wind picks up.  And for some reason they seem to have to replace battens all too regularly.

I've also known a couple people that constructed their own 'Shade Tree' using materials from DIY tent suppliers.

Interestingly, come to think of it I haven't seen nearly as many Shade Tree awnings lately as I did a few years ago.
