Hi - Passing along info on a W32 project boat in NorCal from a Westsail Owners Association member who passed away last year. Dave Brown was a regular at some of the NorCal rendezvous in the early 2000s and moved his boat Mandala to his property in the San Joaquin Valley some years back to work on it, but it never made it back in the bay. His widow needs to sell the boat and all the gear and is hopeful to find a new enthusiastic owner that has the skills and time to take on the project and get her sailing again. It was a fully functional boat when he trucked into the valley. I saw it this weekend and it definitely needs a lot of work, I won’t sugar coat it. I’ve seen some in worse shape and I don’t think Mandala is too far gone for a refit. It will require someone to be clear eyed on the time and funds required. From what I could see, all the parts are there, from the mast, rigging, sails, engine, and some new parts etc.

The other hurdle aside from its current state, is that it will need to be trucked off the property, so there is the expense of that to consider as well. 

They are opened to offers and need it moved soon.
