Well after selling one project boat - I'm at it again. I am helping a lady who had this sailboat left to her after the owner died.

It is a 1976 Kit boat - named "Eve". I will be posting pictures later but let me start with a list of equipment.

    2 - 35 CQR with chain, 1 Danforth 13 S, 1 large Luke, S-L windless

    Aries Windvane

Perkins 4-108 Diesel ~4000 hours - ran well 1 year ago - fuel tank cleaned at that time.

    SST dodge frame

8 ft rigid dinghy with oars

    self-tailing Barlow #24 winches

refrig compressor replaced ~ 1 year ago

3 burner propane gimbel stove/oven with twin deck mounted aluminum tanks

Plastic water tanks - appear good

sails - hanked-on useable but need cleaning and some repair - no sail covers

    non- skid decking (no teak)

Hull - looks good - blister free  Top side - gel-coat fair condition

This boat was used as a live aboard up till about 1 year ago. It is dirty and musty and has some water damage around the nav station.

The bilge has a drain -- so no water is collecting inside.

The sprit doesn't look too bad but the board under it is badly rotten. The forward bulkhead has fallen apart. Bobstay attachment not very bad - but slight corrosion. I would replace it now before installing a new bulkhead

    Spars look fair.

The present owner has been occurring storage cost and would really like to sell  it fast. It could be put in the water as is for a relocation somewhere in the Chesapeake Bay but some work on the lights might be necessary.

Owner would like to get $6000 - as is - buyer to assume all additional cost.

This would be a great project boat that could be sailed after a couple of weeks of work. It is located in Irvington, Va. You can email me - or call me at 804 539-6139

Maybe this is not the right place... but I'm coming out of the closet....

    I purchased a Alajuela 38 --- a Westsail on steriods -- as Bud put's it.

I will continue to follow this site -- because the boats are similar -- and presently

I'm buying a Beta 43 from Bud to repower her. Yes - Bud did climb aboard and help me check the measurements for her new engine.

It was many of the attributes of the Westsail 32 that this boat had which makes me like her so much.
