    Ladysmith Community Marina

    We have confirmed with Ladysmith Marina and they are expecting us.  Please book early to ensure we are all together. Reservations:  http://reservations.lmsmarina.ca  Or call at 250-245-1146

    Price is $1.40/foot first night (effective April 1st, 2018), $1.10/foot for each subsequent night in the same season.

    The Marina Welcome Centre provides a marina office, free Wi-Fi, complete washroom, shower and laundry facilities, plus a fireside lounge with a large TV, large meeting room and the Oyster Bay Cafe. The Marina is a short 10 minute walk to downtown Ladysmith or Transfer Beach, and an 11 minute drive to the Nanaimo airport. 

    Saturday night: Saturday night program is in the works – possibly a pot latch or dinner in town??  We are open to suggestions.

    Updated Agenda Rendezvous - 2018 


    FRIDAY September 14: l

    Arriving boats can check in at Ladysmith Community Marina any time after 2pm.  There will be an informal gathering in the covered picnic table shelter area beginning at 6PM. Bring your own beverages.


    SATURDAY September 15

    Coffee will be ready at 7:30 AM. A breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausages and toast will be served at the picnic shelter between 8:30 and 9AM. Please bring plates, cups and cutlery. They will be provided for those not on a boat.

    At that time, In order to get to know each other a little better, we would like one person from each boat and those without boats to:
    - introduce themselves and any others on their boat, give their boat name and home port.
    - say how long they have owned their Westsail and mention any interesting sailing history of their boats and/or themselves.
    - talk a little about any long journeys made with their boat.
    - list any features their boats have or that they have added which has made a big difference to their comfort or safety.

    The afternoon will be spent socializing and visiting each others boats. 

    Anyone interested in a discussion, comparison, demonstrations or practice tying knots useful on sail boats can meet at the picnic area around 4:30PM. 

    Happy hour begins at 5:00PM. BYO beverage.

    BBQ sockeye salmon and baked potatoes will be served around 6PM. Please bring a vegetable side dish or salad to share and your own plates and cutlery. 


    SUNDAY September 16

    Coffee and muffins will be served at the shelter at 8 AM.
    Socializing and good byes for rest of the morning.
    Check out is 11AM.

    If there is suitable wind we may try to get some photos of our boats under sail as they leave the harbor.
