Kendall Westsail ?

    Don't have time to search right now. Post this quick. The Kendall Westsail 1970. Anybody much about this boat. The one I saw hull #10. has flush decks. No cabin top. Under powered I think w/ 22 hp engine.    Sam

    Thanks Jack    Don't know if I'll buy one of them, but I like it. I'm seeing one that is listed as a 1986. Is this an error? I going to look closer at these boats.

    Kit boats sometimes sit around for years before being completed. So buying a hull and deck in 1970 but not finished and launched  til 1980 means its a 1980 boat. Ken

    Yeah, that's what happened, finished in 1986. Has a 33 hp yanmar. Survey 6 months ago. Only 6ft 1" or 6' 2"head room though. I'm 5' 11", a little tight. What's typical headroom on a W32?   Sam

    6'7", I think.
    But don't be deceived by the flush deck Kendall's they are very roomy, they carry their headroom tight to the beam. I think.   (;

    Alright, passed on the first Kendall, needs to much. Looking at another one. This one's been places. Having a surveyor take a look, and a lot of photos. We'll see, it's not where I would like it to be, but if it's right the boat, at the right price, decided that location will not prevent me from buying. Don't know what it is with these Kendall's.   Sam
