We have Giant Schnauzer and VERY happy with her. She is one year old now. And can climb and descend companionway ladder without any difficulties. Giants don't smell and are one of few breeds considered hypoallergenic. And they shed very very little compared to most other breeds. On tests on protection they come in top 5 dogs. besting German Sheppard. I wouldn't choose any other breed in the boat, or at home.

Our Golden Doodle is pretty sweet too, and she is hypoallergenic as well.  She loves the wind, water, and waves; which makes her an excellent sailing dog.

Hi Guys, we've had our W32 for 20 years and are on our third Schipperke. They are great boat dogs and love being aboard.
