I am looking for a yankee or super yankee for Westsail 32....probably more toward  super yankee.

I am seeing whats out there. I have a large genoa on my Alado furler. The genoa has been a very good sail for the light winds of the Chesapeake.  Moves my W32 quite well...all by itself . I damaged it pretty good a few weeks ago. I am going to attempt a repair...but i believe even if repaired its getting long in the tooth.

Im considering a Kerns super yankee but the kitty is a bit low for that at the moment.

    Thank you,

    Jason

    Hello Jason,

This has been discussed in the past but a lot of new owners are joining the Westsail group so may be worth mentioning. Sailrite kits has all the Westsail dimensions for our sails including the super yankee. This I believe to be the best headsail for our boats.
The super will cost about one boat buck (1000.00). The machine another boat buck but you will use it for everything sails, covers, cushions, biminis, dodgers. The most important thing though is when you’re in a very remote location with a damaged sail just get out the machine and fix it! I recommend starting with small storm sails or covers first before attempting a large sail.

Thank you, I have the LSZ-1. i am attempting to repair my current sail. Just received  the supplies from Sailrite.

I have looked at Sailrite kit. My biggest issue would be  the space to lay it out the sail completely. I also dont know if i have the experience to do a whole sail just yet...ive done several repairs to sails and canvas. I have fabricated a few new covers....so i am getting better with it.

Was hoping someone might have a spare or older one for sale that will get me through this year. If i cant repair my current sail....i might buy a sailrite kit or bite the big bullet and order one from Kerns

    Thank you
