    Try it without before investing into the tacker. You might find that the tack stays close to the forestay without needing to attach to it.

    We did crossing the Pacific for about 3 days continious.  I was chafeing on our Sun cover for the headsail. I didn't like that. So I built a diaper to use around the Sun Cover with the ATN.
