HI,  I bought Finisterre last month on St. Helena in the South Atlantic. She is my first yacht and one that requires a fair amount of work, I have some experienced help onboard, but will be no doubt posing some questions for the experienced hands out there. The main jobs identified to date are: tune and refit the Yanmar engine; renew Forestay; replace chainplates with stainless steel; rewire with new gadgetry; anti-foul hull; buff or repaint upper hull; clean and paint deck; and re-vamp the dilapidated interior.

So, obviously if you can save me learning the hard way on any of the above or point out anything you'd check and sort if necessary at this point please don't be shy.
