Has anyone found or made static stability numbers or righting moment measurements on any Westsail 32?

Just finished my first full cover to cover reading of "Seaworthiness'   which I had only ever cruised the photos and captions of before... and so curious...

    Hi Brian,

Some time ago I questioned the stability of my Westsail32 boat Number 87 Immamou and could get no definitive answer. As I only cruise locally on the South Coast of the UK the boat is not loaded down with stores, fuel etc. Unhappy with the excessive heeling under sail I removed the two water tanks and installed one large tank then added 425 kilos of iron and pea shingle into the keel area just below the companionway by the galley where the cabin sole is fixed with the bags of pea shingle holding the iron pigs in place. What a difference! Also I removed the cockpit fuel tanks and sited a tank behind the engine low in the boat and this reduces rolling. I also may add further ballast forward of the mast to improve stability further although I rather fear this may adversely affect trim

    Kind regards,

    John Pound
