For those of you planning on taking your Westsail out of US waters, the CBP has a volunteer program called the SVRS.  Floridians may be familiar with it under a different name "Local Boater Option".  The plan will allow you to file a float plan electronically and check back in (clear in) with Customs and Immigration via telephone once you arrive back into port.  Saves some hassle.  Previously, the program had severely limited the number of locations where you could have the required face to face interview performed.  Recently they have expanded the program and added more interview locations.  Of particular interest to us was the addition of interview capability at the Baltimore Custom House on Gay St.  If you check the web page they now have locations in the mid-Atlantic. We used the Baltimore location and got our interview over with. When we looked into this last fall, we were going to have to travel to Norfolk for the interview. Fast and easy at Baltimore.
