Hello everyone,

I'm a new member of WOA. My intention is to buy a boat and overhaul it to sail it. I'll be 59 this summer and the kids are already grown up, so it is time to start checking some stuff off my bucket list while health is still there.

In no way I'm a pro or an expert in sailboats, so excuse me if I make dumb questions or say something that makes no sense. You won’t hurt my feelings if you correct me. On the contrary, I would appreciate it.

I am shopping around for a Westsail 32, something I can sail solo (I already had a sailboat and the next thing more difficult to get after the boat is a crew). My money is limited so I need to get a boat for a good price and work on it. I have time, so this project might take some years to complete (I estimate about 4 years).

Anyways, unless I find something in really good shape, my intention is to replace mast, boom, all spars, both spreaders, shrouds, stays, chainplates, in summary all the standing rig. 

Is there any place where I can get a price estimate for a mast and a boom, either new or refurbished? Or someone who manufacture both?  

No roller furling. I plan having a mainsail with a bolt rope in the foot to insert in the groove of the boom, and slugs or sliders to attach the mainsail luff to the mast track. Headsails will be hanked-on to the forestays.

I am working on a budget but can't get any info about Westsail 32 mast and boom prices. If you know any company or person I can talk to and pass me the contact details I would greatly appreciate it.
