Hi Mark, thanks for your reply. Thanks I've been reviewing Bud's manual, so great to see this is available. I've also been looking online. The reason I've posted here is to give me some idea of what a boat dealer can potentially answer before the surveyor verifies.
Is it reasonable to ask for the below?
1. hull number, gelcoat age, known osmosis areas, known leaks
2. Age/state of the mast
3. engine, shaft, propeller hours since overhaul/replacement
4. if/when standing rigging and chainplates were replaced (bargaining point)
5. if/when head had overhaul (bargaining point)
6. if/when tanks were cleaned out (bargaining point)
I like creative way of solving problems using the good enough approach and can manage interior/electrical and basic engine faults
my aim is coastal sailing with a mentor and mid term slowly transition into live-aboard for few weeks/months on/off to complete longer passages and long term full time cruising, mentoring.
