I am in need of replacing my cables running from the engine to the binnacle. I can't seem to figure out how to get to them. The compass at the binnacle appears to be sealed. I think I need to take off the compass to expose the cables. Any ideas on how to do this?
You do have to take the compass off to access the binnacle end of the cables. There should be some flat head screws around the perimeter of the compass base flange that have to come out to lift off the compass. Please send me an email bud@westsail.com
Todd, yes you have to remove the compass. Hear some photos that may help.
