I've run across a Westsail 43 advertised as a 1985 model. When I look at Wikipedia it would lead me to believe Westsail went out of business in 1981. When I asked the seller about this he said somebody from Costa Mesa California had bought the molds and built some boats at a later date.

Is this true? If so are the hulls considered comparable to earlier hulls/boats? It has a Ford 129 engine apparently installed. 60 hp where others seem to have 85 hp. Wonder if this is adequate?
