I bought a 28 in Brisbane Australia from a guy who sailed her over from the U.S her name is Mangoe and was San Pareil, which is what I'll revert her to. Sailing her back down to Western Port Victoria where she'll be based for now.

Todd is doing well and is running a coffee shop (probably the only way to get a decent cup here) he spent a few years in the pacific then a few more in New Zealand before crossing the Tasman to Australia.

ROB , I'm guessing you purchased Mango fairly recent ? Are you keeping the Monitor ? What are your plans for San Pareil ? By chance I just found your vids' she is just like I remember her . But I see the Monitor is gone .

James , how long have you owned Narwhal ?

I just noticed there are no more W 28s' for sale on Buds' site .

i bought "narwhal" in 2006.  she was formerly known as "kaweah."

i think she was imported into australia from southern california in 1991.

hull no. 68.  built in 1978.

she has been out of the water for 4 1/2 years now.  refit has included, repower, mast overhaul, replace termite damaged bulkhead, replace all structural stainless steel,  rebuild rudder, make new gudgeons, seal the keel space and more.

currently, i am replacing the teak decking due to the failure of the old teak's bedding leading to leaking into the fiberglass deck's plywood core.

The monitor is back on and I'll use it to head south, I have a fleming at home if its any better but the monitor has been engineered pretty well to fit the 28

I just bought Victoria (formerly KAILANI, OLD SOUL, MARLO, MOLA MOLA and JUST PRIDE - the name changing bad karma should be expired by now). It is hull #33 and will soon be berthed in Morro Bay California.

I was the original owner (for 17 years) of Pelican, a W28 #58 that had a bad but not fatal run in with super storm Sandy after I sold her. Last time I heard she was for sale for about $6,000.
