How Many W28's?

    I know that this site and some others say that only 60 W28's were made, but the Patricia A. is hull # 72 and I think I've seen another hull number above 60, though I can't remember where.  

    Did they skip hull numbers or were there 72+ made?

    my "narwhal" is no 68.  this is the first time i have heard of a higher number, so i guess mine wasnt the last one.

    I was just reading ( a little Westsail history ) by Bud on this site .  78 W28s' were made by the Westsail Co. The molds for the W28 were sold in 79' .  And it was not reported that anymore were built after the sale of the molds .

    The Westsail History says 78 W28's were built and the Vessel Info says only 60 W28's were made...

    I'm guessing if there are hulls out there with hull numbers above 60 then the higher number is probably right. It doesn't appear to me from reading the history that Westsail skipped hull numbers.

    I'm just glad I have one!

    I have them numbered up to 78 on my list, but none higher.

    Number 78 was laminated in February of 1979.
