I'm with Tate. I just had the prop on my W28 off a couple weeks ago and there's no trick. Sounds like the last bit of thread on the shaft is boogered up. Pretty coarse thread so it should be relatively easy to see and, hopefully, to clean up with a file.
BTW, when you get the nut off and start to pull the prop, assuming you have a 14" (or smaller) 3-blade prop, it really will come off past the rudder. You have to move the rudder and the prop until you find just the right combination. But the combination is there. Good luck.
