Hello fellow Westsail Owners!
I am Thrilled! and Excited! and Looking Forward to the adventure with my new Westsail 32, hull #370! She is a well-done kit boat and I got good value for monies spent!
I flew down July 1 (Canadian) long weekend, she is in Marina Real in San Carlos, Mexico!! I had the survey done, haulout, etc...sea trial was so great!!!
She is a registered vessel, and currently her name is Kootenay Jade, however, that is changing very soon and just getting paperwork done first for it (& some cool name/logo)...and I will be doing the de-naming and re-naming ceremony next time I am down to see her.
She is offshore-equipped - with the usual things to do first before she heads that way: standing rigging, mast deck-step...and I take time off work..yep, still working full time...
And big thanks to all of you for your sharing of projects and photos! So helpful and things that I am considering: such as cockpit drains (cross them & put ball valves on 'em) and cap rail event, composting head (will see what others have done) and I actually like the "no teak cap-rail look" a few of you have done...
However, I digress!! I am very excited to be part of it all and to have a boat that was well cared for...and I don't need to go on and on, do I! So excited!!!
