I just came across a kit to build a so-called geodesic aero lite dinghy.  8 feet long, weights only 29 pounds.   It sounds like a fun project.  It would be very nice to able to simply lift the dinghy up on deck by hand.

Have any of you seen or heard about these lightweight, Dacron covered boats?  Fragility would be my first question.
