Rule 1500 or 2000 Gold?

    I'm replacing the pump under companionway steps bilge.
    I'm buying the Ultra Pump Switch Jr but am undecided on the pump itself.
    It's my only auto/elec bilge on my boat (currently).   My only other pump will be the manual gusher type (in the cockpit).
    Any recommendations?

    We put a Rule 3700 down there.  A 2000 won't buy you much time, then again neither will a 3700, but I'd suggest going as big and strong as you have space/wiring for.

    I guess I just assumed that the original plumbing/thruhull would be undersized for a 3700.
    Thats why I thought the 2000 was my only option.
