I converted from conventional lazy jacks to a stackpack, incidentally made by Aaron, and although I have been generally happy with the system, it has some drawbacks. With my old cover I could lead the lazy jacks back to the mast after I had tied up the sail, put on the cover, and then if I wanted to I could put my boat cover on over the boom. I cannot do that with the stackpack as the lazy jacks support the pack. I have yet to think of a way of regaining the ability to put the boat cover over the boom they way it was designed and use the stackpack at the same time.
