    Can anyone tell me where I could buy galvanised oval thimbles for 5/8 nylon rode? I've been looking on websites but haven't found. Your assistance would be appreciated. Regards

    Looking in McMaster-Carr catalog - the oval thimbles stop at 5/16 dia line.... they do have open thimbles for 5/8" line galvanized and SS... on page 1417 in an old catalog number 118...

    West Marine has them up to 5/8" here.

    Just go with the SS thimbles, as the galvanized ones eventually rust...
