Hi:) My W32, Slow Shoes has had an 8 years long refurbishing party on land!! I am finally closing in to paint her :)
- I am drawing a new waterline (repaired the area), but my previous waterline was not original. Measurements or any ideas on the whereabouts of the waterline are much appreciated.
- I also need to calculate the size area of the boat to find the right amount of paint I need. I was hoping someone perhaps has done the calculations?
The epoxy primer coats that cover the hole boat are ok, but it seems complicated with the 2-part polyurethane paint with different colours/size area on the anti-skid from the rest of the deck plus topsides

These are tough questions to answer as each boat can be quite different..
May 2018 - Randy Leasure and I painted Pygmalion a W32 Hull 567 during a haul out.
I believe that I used about 1 quart of Brightside Polyurethane White -- single part - along with the thinner to cover the hull with three thin coats. I would recommend that you also use a primer that will reduce the need for the amount of finish paint...
Here is a link to an album of images from my last haul out. https://photos.app.goo.gl/6OnZFtsp9746Mrlv2
As for the waterline -- is the original boot stripe in the wrong place?
I'll ping a couple of folks who may have better answers ...
if you have images that would be fun to see -- they can be attached to your forum posts...
Also what is your hull number?
