First stage bleed screw assembly on Perkins 4108

    The fuel bleed port and  load adjustment assembly( to prevent engine from dying when power demand is high) appears to attach to the first stage of the fuel injection rail by being CEMENTED in place rather than screwed and o-ring sealed.  A perfectly horrible design I must say.  But what cement should be used to re-affix the assembly in place?  After 37 years, the adhesion broke down.

    I'm not aware of anything on my 4.108 that has been glued on, but that doesn't mean it isn't so. I've found that there are many configurations on the 4.108 and mine is a 1987 model anyway (which could add more differences). I can't imagine that there were any glues available when your engine was built that would ever have lasted this long!

    I'd be happy to help you find the answer. But, could you post a good photo, highlighting the specific location where anything has been attached by glue? Thanks.
