Feathering Prop

I need to upgrade my prop.  I have a 14" max prop, and I learned that a W32 needs a 16" prop. The old prop is also getting pretty beat up.  Time to think of a change.

I could stick with Max Prop, or switch to another brand.  I'm not fond of the cone shaped zincs on the Max Prop, nor of the need to haul the boat to change the pitch.  Does anyone else have advice about Max Prop versus other brands of feathering props?

    Thanks,

Dick - you might be able to trade yours in on a 16" through Maxprop. I know they do that and will even buy back outright. Also, the maxprop sells well on the various sailing forums and e-bay.

    Dick,

I'm really impressed with the quality of the J-Prop. I haven't installed mine yet, need to make some changes to the aperture. Talk to Bud if you're interested.

Four years ago I purchased an Auto Stream feathering prop from Bud and have great success with it---very rugged and easy to service--plus at the time less $$$
