Paul and I are replacing the depth sounder/transducer on Kabuki, and we are thinking about getting a Cruzpro. I have been searching the internet for reviews but they are few and far between. What I have found was old 2006.

This product is actually from our home port of Whangarei, hence why we are interested in purchasing it ( supporting local industry). So I was wondering if anyone out there has used, or heard of someone who has used the Cruzpro Depth Sounder, and what you/they thought of it.

    Cheers

    Wendy:

I'm wondering if the lack of information on line is a sign that these may not be the best choice of instrument?  I purchased Navman 3100 set of instruments based on price - while they are working - the company has changed hands several times in the last few years.

I managed to keep the instruments working by modifying the display to PC board connection - which was coming unglued due to moisture or ?... Most folks would have had to toss the units an repurchase.

So if you are local and don't plan on being "out there" for a while the instruments might be just fine...  the company may be a sleeper and make great instruments...

Do keep us advised as to your choice and result.

    Thanks Jay,

I think we may go the Raymarine way, it looks like we might get a reasonable deal on them (well reasonable for New Zealand anyway). Will keep you posted with the result.

    Cheers Wendy
