At long last and after almost 3 years of projects, we are about a month away from launching our restored WS 42, Harmony! While we won't have all of the finish varnishing done, and will more than likely continue to update items after a shakedown of our efforts this summer, we will finally get the old girl wet.
Anyway, I need to replace every bit of running rigging on our WS 42 ketch. I have studied Bud's manual, but want to verify that I will be installing the correct size line for halyards and sheets, etc. As Bud' manual states, the following line sizes are appropriate for the WS42:
Halyards: Main, Staysail, Jib and Mizzen @ 7/16''
Spinnaker/Drifter Halyard: we do not have one, but would assume the 7/16" would be the choice
Topping Lifts: Main and Mizzen @ 7/16" - this isn't mentioned in Bud's manual, but I would assume this size or maybe 3/8"
Sheets: Main, Staysail, Jib, and Mizzen @ 1/2" - This seems a bit big for the mizzen, but want to make sure.
Thanks for the input and/or verification.
