• Parking - will be available near the G Dock - please ask us for a parking pass. 

• Slip fees are ~$.50 per foot per night (as of 2017)  and include access card for showers.   Please call the office at (510) 236-1013.  The pdf sign up form  will need to be filled out and sent to the office. When you arrive, the office will issue the access key at the marina office.    US Boat members do receive a discount.

• Early arrivals - If you arrive before the event tell them you are with the Westsail Rendezvous.  US Boat members to receive a discount.

• Those arriving by car - do use Google Maps  to find your way to the Marina Bay Harbor Office - we will be on the dock east of the office.

• Friday night hors d'oeuvres potluck on the Guest Dock - a fun event bring your favorite finger food. 

• Saturday,  boat tours and visitation - with demonstration of mast climbing by Mike Ransom of Top to Bottom Boat Works .  In the evening a delicious sailors potluck BBQ under the Marina office. 

• Saturday after the potluck Randal Reeves will be the main speaker.

  The Figure 8 Voyage 2.0
  We are elated to have sailing adventurer Randall Reeves share his sea stories as he sailed a 25,000-mile circumnavigation of the globe. In the fall of 2017 he departed San Francisco for the first-ever circumnavigation of both the American and Antarctic continents in one season. The route was to pass through all of the world’s oceans, approach both poles, and round Cape Horn twice. No one has done this before—no one has even tried.

  Two months into the Figure 8 Voyage and while in the screaming 50s a mere 500 miles west of Cape Horn, Randall’s boat was caught in a heavy gale, which damaged both his self-steering devices and forced a stop for repairs in Ushuaia, Argentina. Two months later and while transiting the Indian Ocean, Randall met with another storm and a wave so severe that it knocked out a window in the pilot house and destroyed most of his electronics. By the time Randall had made the necessary repairs in Hobart,Tasmania, he judged it was too late in the season to continue with the Figure 8 Voyage for the year. Randall has subsequently sailed the length of the Pacific from Hobart back to San Francisco, completing a 25,000-mile solo circumnavigation of the globe via the Southern Ocean, what Randall is now calling the “longest shakedown cruise in history.” Because Randall has not quit, he will depart on a second try at the Figure 8 Voyage in late September of 2018.
  

• Our famous red raffle finishes the Saturday evening event.   Prizes in the past are from our friends at Cruising Outpost, North Sails and Top & Bottom Boat Works (our own Mike Ransom).  If you wish to contribute to our raffle - please contact Randy Leasure. 

• Sunday 10:00 - head out to Tiburon for the fourth annual Westsail Parade across the bay to Pier 39.  Plan to join in the fun - here is a video from the 2015 Westsail Parade. Need a ride - ask around the dock if you wish to crew in the parade.
