Electric Windlass for a Westsail 28

    I was wondering whether anyone had replaced the original manual windlass on a Westsail 28 with an electric windlass.  The manual one on my boat is mounted on top of the wood bow sprit so I would assume a horizontal type would be the best.  I would appreciate any thoughts or history that you have.  Thanks.

    I have seen an electric windlass on a W28, but not sure if I have a picture of one.  The installation would be the same as on a W32, and I believe that I may have pictures of that.  Send me an email.  btaplin@westsail.com
