    Hi Bud and W32 Owners

Ok I'm considering the re-powering option more seriously now.

    Should I go Beta 35 (35HP @2800 RPM) or Beta 38 (38 HP @ 3600 RPM)? and why?

    Thanks

    Luis

What Engine Room do I have based on this picture? Full Liner or Small Pan ?

Luis - I would say that you don't have the full liner -- from what I see.  What is your hull number?

    Hi Jay,

My Hull # is 0402.  Will that help you decipher the type of engine room liner on my boat?

Also in regards the Beta Engine, was Beta 35 available when you re-powered? I want to know what criteria prompt you to go with the Beta 38 vs. Beta 35. They look similar engines and the price is about the same.

    Thanks again

Luis..............I re powered TAMZIN several years ago with a BETA38 and could not be more pleased with the outcome.  Probably the biggest asset to the installation was having Bud right there instructing me on what to do.  After 90+ installations he's got the procedure down pat and there were absolutely no problems.  No problems means less cost for the installation and in the long run. For your guidance all in the price was almost exactly $15,000, but that was for everything from the engine room bulkhead aft.  New engine, fuel tanks, shaft, cutless etc, ect., as well as the very minimal cost for having Bud there.

402 is mid way through the build of roughly 800 W32's -- early boats - less likely to have the full pan as I understand it.

Hopefully this is a better pic of the engine room with the full pan.  I don't know what the partial pan looks like...
