Although we have a W28 , and I understand this is about W32's. Our mainsheet traveler is on the bridge , And we really like it, it does not impede the companion way and actually makes a nice hand hold when using the companion way . It was told to me by a ex Westsail manager that because it was mounted on the bridge , I didn't really need a vang . Because of the way the main sheet line goes down the mast and back to a winch, it is not easy to mount a vang there . We do have a vang though it attaches to the aft main sheet bail and then down to a pad eye on the gunnel , it works as a preventer too .
