I am trying to find out what happened to the W32 owners in the Long Beach/San Pedro, Redondo Beach, Marina Del Rey, and Channel Islands Harbor in the seventies and eighties. I suggest not to post anything about the 90's and the first 2000 decade as someone might find this to intrusive

To my mind comes in the late 70's: Pelican( I think it was owned by an actor); Vince Rowe with his wife with their boat (name unknown): then there was a W32 that was a deluxe version built for a later owner/investor of Westsail Corp; Gulliver that was quite well travelled; Polaris (my boat, I spent a couple years in Hawaii); and a few others.

It would be nice to post brief stories to refresh ones memory and as food for thought.

Pelican is owned by Doug Lamb in Bodega Bay.  He sailed it to the So. Pac. and a couple of times to Hawaii.  The boat is superbly maintained and see's regular use.  He's truly one of those sailors who are "one with the boat".

    Michael,

I have a pretty good record of previous Westsail owners and boats, so contact me directly by email with your questions.  bud@westsail.com
