    Bud

it looks like I will be the owner of a W32. The current name is Marie Pierre of Houston/Port Aransas and the year is 1975. The previous name was Pickwick. The HIN may be 702 (USCG documentation call sign which may mean nothing) - I will know tomorrow. I am too old to have such a project but she has been sitting behind me for a long time and was gifted to an organization as a donation. I could not resist. Again, I will have 2 boats at once.

Anything you can tell me about this boat? I look forward to your catalog of parts - or do I ;)

    Jerry,

That boat is  a factory finished W32 built in 1975, with a hull number of 391.  I show in my records that she has had four owners, all somewhere along the Gulf Coast.  She was previously named Pickwick II.

    Wow...

You guys were cranking 'em out weren't you!  My W32 was built in '75 with a hull number of 775.

Even so, I am continually impressed at the level of detail and craftsmanship that went into the building of these boats.

    Mike,

You are not reading the HIN correctly.  WSSF 0394 0675.  Your boat was factory finished (F), hull number (0394), lamination date (06 of 75).

I've been under the impression the last three digits was the hull number since that's what the previous owner told me.

Learn something new every day. Thanks!
