    Jay, Since the old site is chock full of good information, will it be up for long, or will the forum contents be transferred to this new site?   It would be a pity to lose all the years of wonderful input from all the owners.  -Tom

    The old but useful message board content is still available and will be available at either www.westsail.org or www2.westsail.org until a way to archive is found -- I'm thinking that pdf files on the Google Doc site with links from this site will work. 

    Beyond the back issues of Windblown and Windbag - all of which are available from the new site and the above mentioned message board topics what are your concerns?  ie what have I missed?

    Jay, it's just the message board content that I was concerned about losing.  There have been so many great and productive discussions and I don't think I could have restored "Second Wind" without the advice and experiences of other owners.   I was/is an amazing resource.  What the heck did we do fifteen years ago???  -Tom

    Tom: check at the top of each forum for the link to the pdf version of the forum content sorted by subject line.

    Outstanding job Jay! I am sure there are other boats that have a following that is similar to that of the WestSail, but doubt that it is in the same arena. It's kind of like a big, functional family.

    Hi, I'm still lost as far as searching the archives.  I tried a search for ice box and I'm getting way more than I'm asking for.  It's giving me threads that have the 3 letters 'ice' so if the word "notice" is in a post, that thread is included in my search results 

    So, perhaps I can cut to the chase and ask:  I need to reinsulate my ice box.   Is there a thread that documents this job?  Or someones blog?  Or just some good advice for materials, how best to dismantle - the inevitable what I might as well do while it's all open...

    Thanks Jack!   I found exaactly what I was looking for in a very narrow search  Both times, you have been very responsive and a great help.  Do you have all the archives and will your site always be available?
